Congress MP Manda to join TRS

With time running out, theTelangana Congress leaders have started making their moves. On Saturday evening, NagarkurnoolCongress MP MandaJagannatham metTRSsupremo K ChandrasekharRao at the latter's residence in the city and is believed to have expressed his intention to join the TRS fold.

"Yes, I have decided to join the TRS,"Jagannatham told STOI. "It is clear that the Congress will not give Telangana," he said, and added that at least two other Congress MPs and two MLAs are going to follow suit. However, he did not name them. Speculations are that the two Congress MPs could be G Vivek (Peddapalli) and S Rajaiah (Warangal) while C Pratap Reddy (Congress, Shadnagar) and Y Shekhar (TDP, Jadcherla) are said to be the two MLAs.

Jagannatham had given enough indications in the past that he may migrate to the TRS. The MP had accompanied KCR when the latter visited the T-JAC and TRS leaders in Mahbubnagar jail after they were arrested during the 'Sadak bandh' programme and had also addressed a press conference with the TRS chief.
